Este año, Andrew Martin ha colaborado con la artista británica Holly Frean
para crear una nueva colección de telas inspirada en el mundo animal.
Utilizando una selección de los dibujos y pinturas de Holly, han desarrollado papeles
pintados con colonias de pingüinos y familias de monos, textiles de elefantes,
leones de terciopelo y osos de lana, entre otros, para crear una colección
divertida, traviesa y, ante todo, muy original.
Conoce a Holly Frean
Holly comenzó su carrera artística como arquitecto, pero la pintura tomó el
relevo en seguida. Creció jugando en el suelo del estudio de diseño textil de
sus padres y, en poco tiempo, comenzó a calcar, cortar y pegar para diseñadores
y artistas. Desde entonces, ha expuesto
internacionalmente acumulando una serie de rasgos distintivos reconocidos a
través de premios de arte y en el SundayTimes,
Lifestyle and Homes y Gardens
Magazine; y en el diseño del último libro de Kit Kemp, Every Room Tells A Story. Las pinturas de animales de Holly se
sitúan en el corazón de esta colección única y original.

MARTIN - The Holly Fren Collection
This year Andrew Martin has collaborated with British artist, Holly
Frean, to create this new animal-inspired collection of textiles. Using a
selection of Holly’s drawings and paintings, we have developed flocked penguin
and monkey wallpapers, printed elephant fabrics, velvet lions and woollen bears
- amongst many others - to create a fun, mischievous and truly original
collection.
Meet Holly Frean
Holly began her artistic training as an architect but painting soon
took over. She grew up playing on the floor of her parents’ textile design
studio and before long she found herself helping with tracing, cutting,
sticking and arranging for designers and artists. Since then, she has exhibited
internationally, accruing a number of fine art prizes and features in the
Sunday Times, Lifestyle and Homes & Gardens magazines; and in designer Kit
Kemp’s latest book, Every Room Tells A Story. Holly’s animal paintings lie at
the heart of this truly unique and original collection.
